  • For the appeal related to the human body functions like [food] and [health], [Academic PR] plays a major role. This is the way of demonstrating the objective efficacy upon research by the public institutions or academic institutes, and describe it. It occurs some fees to pay those institutes, it may be difficult without a certain amount of financial power, still academic PR has a big credit.
  • For example, let us compare the following two cases.
  • Company Acrelease the food as [good for health] that is made of plants in South America with no research data.
    Company Bcrelease the food made of plants in North America that is verified academically [good for health] based on research data provided by a certain institute.
  • It is obvious if you consider yourself whether to buy one. Both cases claim to be good for health but there is a big difference in credit between the one with obvious research data and the other one without.
  • This is the reason that can not be ignored by the media. Suppose a product of company A is introduced in a TV show and the program has rush of orders, in that case the program may take important responsibility if lots of accidents like food poisoning occur. The program was accused for its responsibility in broadcasting such irresponsible information and it may come to a lawsuit.
  • However, the responsibility of the program is limited when introducing the product of company B and food poisoning occurs, research institutes or company B will take most of the responsibility.
  • To make it clear where the responsibility stated in their press release can be proof of good risk management. It improves company's and product's credit and help it to arrange the circumstance that media can do the coverage with feeling easy.
