  • 90% of press releases sent to TV programs are the information about [newly released]. Most of the press release are composed only by a big title [newly released] and the name of service or product and its summary.
  • However, this is only a propaganda or a disgusting press release that can make TV program directors sick enough.
  • As I already explained at the beginning of this column, the reason why this poor content becomes a mainstream is there are too many companies and PR companies who blindly does PR activities without understanding the difference between TV and the other media such as newspapers and magazines.
  • It is possible newspapers and magazines pick up [newly released] article of one company, but TV are asked to consider a diversified information (=relating information). TV always introduces a different approach with a phrase "while this isc." and you may hear this phrase on TV.
  • It would be better to include several relating information of competitors' products, because the program covers the third-party products together with yours. This will make the chance to be introduced much higher.
  • Moreover, if you add some information-rich phrases such as [fashionable goods for spring][popular camping goods][this is the trend of Valentine's day of this year] to your press release, the chance to be picked up will rise much higher. What you need is a little more time and effort than ever, and the only wisdom. There will be worth enough to try.
