  • @After detailing the struggles of the director, I would like you to understand how important an ginterestingh idea is for the TV industry. The TV industry is not some glorious entity. Instead, their job is to make your stories interesting.
  • @However, there are some things regarding protocol you should know. There is something called the gpress releaseh that is used by the media to promote itself.
  • @The press release includes various information about what your company is and what you want to greleaseh to the world. The problem is that 99% of the information is useless, at least for TV. TV producers are not interested in trivialities and specifics. They want things that interest the average viewer. Directors, as part of their job, are trained to tell the good stuff and bad stuff apart.
  • @The problem is that, in most cases, press releases are rarely written with the same goals as that of the TV shows. Often, contracted PR agents bring such press releases, asking the crew to help make them interesting, while the TV crew continually asks for more information and resources. It is one of those discussions with no end.
  • @Thus, it is important to understand what the goals of the TV show are, and then to present your information in a way that makes it appropriate for the program. This will make your company a whole lot more attractive, and it just might make your dreams of striking gold come true.
  • @First, write a press release. If you are interested in TV promotion, it is probably better to do some research on the TV program@that you are promoting first.
